Details: The aim of this project was to investigate the scope and potential for the client to enter into the international carbon market arena. The work entailed:

  • Analysis and review of the status of the Clean Development Mechanisms (CDM) and Certified Emission Reduction Certificates (CERs)
  • Analysis of the market for CERs – scoping of the international CDM landscape; analysis of southern African countries in the context of the international CDM landscape and analysis of opportunities in African markets, with particular emphasis on South Africa.
  • Analysis of opportunities for the clients
  • Development of a business plan
  •
